I love all of Marmee's Kitchen baking sets, but I have to admit having a special spot in my heart for this one!  This set contains a small cookie sheet, a rubber mixing spatula, a wooden rolling pin, an adorable little cookie spatula, and a tin containing metal cookie cutters of every letter of the alphabet.  I love to have my children near me when I work, and Sarah Elisabeth is particularly fond of keeping me company in the kitchen.  She takes great pride in cutting out biscuits, putting bread dough in pans, stirring, measuring  . . . . or just sitting on my wheat bucket and chattering with me.  She will be three soon, and we are going to give her this set as a gift.  I know that she and I will share many happy hours making cookies and other treats - and it will be so fun for her to make special cookies that spell her siblings names or other important words.  (Chocolate and phonics - what a happy combination!)

These are real, high-quality kitchen tools that are specially sized for small hands.  Sarah struggles so much with my big rolling pin and other tools and she is going to have a glorious time using her very own Sarah-size tools.

For best results, combine this set with Marmee's Kitchen Primer (see below).  You could also include a little apron, some fun sprinkles, etc.  The most important thing to include is some loving time in the kitchen with mommy!  <smile>
