I have to admit that I am very skeptical when it comes to study guides for books. Most of them seem like, well, a waste of time. I am also pretty skeptical about modern Bible studies or devotionals for children. Many of them are shallow and trivialize the very principles they claim to teach.
I was honestly thrilled to find that the Life Lessons books for The Princess and the Kiss (for girls) and The Squire and the Scroll (for boys) broke the mold and proved me wrong!! Life Lessons from The Princess and the Kiss delves deeply into the principles presented in The Princess and the Kiss. These principles of purity and godly femininity are laid out for girls to study with their mothers. Each lesson contains teaching about a specific concept, a Bible verse to read and study, and practical, easy-to-complete application projects (the kind that really get done!). Please know that while the teaching is deep, none of the details are graphic. This is perfect for weekly or monthly mom and daughter time that will bear precious fruit for decades to come. This book can be used with very young girls right up through preteens or even older. Information and suggestions for special purity celebrations and ceremonies are included in the back of the book.
