They have jointed limbs and many of them are versatile enough to be used as other characters - my children use Job as a leper also, and use King Solomon as a Pharaoh. These toys have one more wonderful feature: each comes with a heavy, laminated background realistically painted with appropriate scenery. When the backrounds are lined up chronologically the art flows seamlessly from one background to the next.
