Really great floor puzzles can be a perfect hands-on addition to any study, and this floor puzzle is no exception! We used it when we were studying marine life and it added a wonderful extra touch to our studies. This floor puzzle is unique in that it is a tall narrow format (48" high, 18" wide when finished). The reason for this format is that the puzzle beautifully depicts life at the various ocean depths from the surface to the dark deep bottom of the sea. It has 100 pieces but they are very large and child-friendly - my 7 year old found this puzzle to be challenging but not frustrating. The pieces are very thick with a wipe-clean surface.
