Mancala is one of those wonderful games that take only minutes to learn but a lifetime to master. It is a traditional two-player African game of strategy involving moving colorful pieces around a simple board. It is the sort of game that is easy enough for a young child but challenging and fun enough for an adult, and it is something that our entire family enjoys playing. We chose this particular mancala game for our site because it is so very attractive. The wooden playing board is very durable and beautifully hand-painted and aged. It has a notch in the back so that it can be hung on the wall (not too many games are lovely enough to double as wall art!) and the very pretty pieces can be stored in the included leather-like drawstring pouch.
