Each pocket contains illustrated background pages, art and/or craft projects (note: this are interesting and meaningful projects), writing activities, and more. This book is exceptional in that it many books on Native Americans contain nudity or glorify the false religions of the tribes. We were very happy to find that this book was an exception to the rule and is very wholesome. The entire book is reproducible and contains all of the forms, patterns, templates, etc., that you will need. This book is an ideal resource for anyone doing a unit, notebook, or lapbook on American history. Highly recommended!!
The publishers recommend this book for grades 1-3, but we have used it very successfully with older and younger children. This is book is terrific paired with the Life in Plymouth Colony History Pockets, Colonial America History Pockets, our Early American Discovery Kit, and our Westward Expansion History Discovery Kit.
