Believe it or not, a good quality magic set is one of the best public speaking tools you can ever buy! Children are almost universally delighted by magic tricks and are more than willing to learn how to do them. Once a child has mastered a few tricks, he will naturally want to do a �€�magic show�€� for family and friends. This requires planning, poise, clear diction, good body language, confidence, and more. While such an assignment might prove painful if presented differently, a child eager to show off his amazing tricks will willingly develop the public speaking skills needed for the job.

This may not happen overnight. Some children will start off quietly or hesitantly, as they learn new tricks and do repeat performances they will grow increasingly confident. Gentle encouragement from mom and dad to speak up or work on their patter will go a long way in this situation, especially because thrilling the audience is a powerful motivation for approval.

This set is best for children 8 and older or younger children who have mastered the tricks in the Discovery Magic Set . There is no duplication of tricks between the two sets, so you may want to consider buying both.
