I love this storytelling paper! (Storytelling paper is paper that is lined on one half for writing and blank on the other half for a picture.) Once I received a sample of this paper, I realized that not all storytelling paper is created equal. This 8.5” by 11” paper pad is superior to all others that I have seen. First of all, many storytelling pads are a slightly larger 9” by 12”, which means that the pages cannot fit into binders, folders, or page protectors. Second, most storytelling pads are made of thin paper or flimsy newsprint. This pad is made with lovely, heavier weight bond paper that will hold up to markers or even paint! Third, most storytelling pads are either permanently bound (no good way to remove mistakes) or very lightly bound (not easy to keep together if the child wants the book to stay bound). This pad is securely bound but the pages can be neatly and cleanly removed. The lines are nice and large for beginners and have dashed centers. The paper is oriented in landscape format (long, not tall) so there is plenty of room for wide, scrawling pictures. This should be a staple product in any home with young children!
